After some days of conferences, concerts, performances and exhibitions in Linz we are back in Berlin. Here are some of the projects we saw which we think are really amazing.
The Image Fulgurator from Julius von Bismarck : Visual information can be smuggled unnoticed into the images of others.
We also saw great visuales from Evelina Domnitch (BY) & Dmitry Gelfand (RU/US) in which laser light scans the ever-shifting surfaces of a soap bubble. The resulting images look like the one below:
The performance Blue Remix by Yann Marussichand Andreas Kurz was magical, but also disgusting: blue liquids seep through the skin of Yann Marussich thus damaging the interior stir of his body.
The reactable is an amazing collaborative electronic music-instrument with a tabletop tangible multi-touch interface. Its adictive.
The “Replenishing Body” - an interactive video installation, consists of a grid of squares (5×5) which can each record a one-second loop of film. Funny and visually really nice!
We are off to Linz, Austria where the Ars Electronica Festival is taking place during the next days. The theme of this year: A New Cultural Economy: The Limits of Intellectual Property.
For all the people who don´t find the time to go, here is a link to the stream where you can watch all presentations and discussions.
This week he have been to the Radiohead-concert here in Berlin. The sound was amazing and the lightshow stunning. The full system was exclusively LED, which also means less power consuming.
- check this video out which we have recorded.
Yesterday i found the articel “Lighting the LED way” on the site of the band talking about it.
Today we are moving to our new office in Mitte – the so called center of Berlin. We will be working above the Sophiensäle – a theatre – and share our office with Kinomaton – a production company.
Last Saturday night we went to the presentation concert of Jamie Lidell’s new album “Jim” at the AdmiralsPalazt. Has expected it was great, other than the supporting band that was a bit winie…
Jamie came on stage and beatboxed a whole song on his own. Recording is beatbox and making loops live. Yep for those out there that didn’t know he is also well known has a beatbox artist. Not surprisingly he is with Warp Records and makes a super mix of electronic and soul. His music has such a feel good feeling to it, and this is also the case with him and his band.
Sincerely he has got one of the most amazing voices I have heard in a long time.
We have just completed a small web site for a friend of ours. They are a design studio that specializes in designing wine labels. They had a very clear idea in mind for what they wanted: clean, user friendly design. Here it is: www.vinoe.es
